It’s always fun when Rome come’s around and this time is no different. I think one of the best terms used when describing his flow is infectious allow with his trade mark “I said”. This audio is off of the recently released (and not yet reviewed by us) Drives, Thighs, & Lies EP he created in collaboration with producer Dun Deal. This one looked like lots of fun. I wonder were it was shot cause IT DAMN SURE WASN’T ATLANTA CAUSE HE’S NEVER HERE! (I swear to god I’m going to put a hit out on Mike Boyd if the home town doesn’t get a show by the end of the year.) One thing I have realized about Nique lately is that he definitely has his image down. He has a very cons ice persona that fits his aesthetic very nicely and I love the added touch Mereba brings to the video. So Bonnie & Clyde I love it. Two 9 Forever Episode One

Okay so it’s Two9 of course we’re going to cover it. It’s episode one of the new Two 9 web series titled Two 9 Forever. Of course the visuals are amazing and it’s really cool to see all of there celebrity friends and what not but I will say I’m a little disappointed we did get more of “them”. It seemed more like a trailer for something than an actual episode. I mean all we really got here was a couple song snippets, some inside jokes (that I’m not sure we could have gotten unless we were there), & some high profile cameos. Look I’m always down for more Two 9 content I just wish this first installment had a little more meat on it’s bones for us wolves to gnaw on that’s all. Hopefully we’ll get a little more from the guys on the next one. @two9

Artemus Jenkins killed this video. I mean straight murdered it! That GTA wardrobe scene… damn… If your an Atlanta native there were a couple of things you would have caught. The BONFIREATL location and Far Out Family’s Bias the Black performing to name a few. Throw in a dialogue scene and wrap it all in a nice bow of an Alkebulan chorus. The first time I watched this video I’m not sure if the info was up or I just over looked it but I completely missed the fact that it has a Rome Fortune feature. Brings me back to a little LOLO (a project done by Ceej & Rome a while back, look it up!) Of recent memory this is the most different of all Two9 material I have heard. I really dig it. Shows great reach and a diverse musical palette but what I want to know is if this makes it into Two9’s rambunctious live sets. If you haven’t attended a Two9 live show your missing out. They are a lot of fun. The thing is is that I’m not sure if I have ever seen any member of Two9 on stage without the whole ensemble. This song doesn’t seem to be one to be performed with the gang on stage. I would love to see how it would be incorporated. Got my eye on you guys. @RetroSushi / @Two9CEEJ / @RetroJace / @Two9

Beautifully shot but I really didn’t expect anything less from the Lucid guys. They seem to be very thorough when it comes to what they do. One thing that I thought was awesome about this was the idea that it paints of them turning a passion into money without it seeming forced. When it comes to the way they spoke about apparel it almost seemed like owning a line was just the next logical step. Love the explanation of the logo as well, it’s more that just a dope symbol. It also seems like their originality isn’t forced. They seem to just be doing what other lines wanted to but didn’t, or couldn’t. Seeing those stitching machines going to work on those jackets was just a legitimizing moment. If you didn’t think they where serious before… Dope stuff guys. Know let me go get my money up before they drop that reversible bomber again. LoL. LucidFC.us

Rome Fortune really did with this one. I literally enjoyed myself watching that. This really has made me even more excited for Beautiful Pimp 2. I really do wish he would do more shows in Atlanta even though I understand why he doesn’t. I just feel like it would go over so well. This music has a “singalongability” to it that would just be awesome once people know the words. I kind of hope this catches on as the new party music. And can we give it up to Goodwin on this one?
