Far Out Family – BUZZCUT

Just Awesome! I really dig this like a lot! A quick flow from the boys at FartherOut.com which doesn’t even seem to be coming out on their up coming Declaration of Independence project but on a completely different one calling Pinckney. I’m assuming Pinckney will be more of a mixtape just do to the fact that the beat is a cut from Rome Fortunes’s Balcony off of the Beautiful Pimp project. What can I say you got the boy Glenn Saddler first with the distorted voice, Bias the Black coming in second just destroying the second verse, Rome Fortune’s Balcony to rap over and the chainsaw scene from American Psycho coming of what I assume to be a projector! It’s just all around dope-ness. S/O to the Far Out Family and the Raven Corps for good measure. @FarOutFamily / @glennsaddler / @BiastheBlack

Alexis Glenn – Be Wary (ALLIExperience.com)

Taken from our friends at ALLIExperience Alexis Glenn dropped her first single from the EP – Irrational Illustrations at Heart. The fan favorite track, “Be Wary” is witten by Alexis Glenn and produce by Kebu. Video by Sean Kelly. I’m really digging this one yall. “This is the story of when we as humans depend on love to keep and make us happy, when at the of the day, only you can keep you happy”, says Alexis. “At times we are looking for love to save us, but ultimately only you can save you.” I’d like to add that knowing the young girls story adds wait to every song. Love the visual. S/O to her and the whole Black Klan family @Lexin8or Click HERE for our run down of her project Irrational Illustration At Heart.

Chiiirp – Constantine

Back to back Chiiirp! So it seems as though this video is a 1 of 3, with The Dope being the first, of this artistic trinity. Or maybe I’m wrong and just guessing. The collective she has named the Beautifully Grotesque Art Performance piece. This is really interesting. I can’t wait to see the third. I wonder if they tie in together in any way. I know she has cited Marilyn Manson as an inspiration and he is well known for stringing together the story lines of his projects. Dopeness Chiiirp. Can’t wait to see how this all ends. @SmokingVapors

Chiiirp – The Dope

I expect nothing less from Chiiirp. Art. What I really like about the visual is the fact that you get to see Chiiirp. The real Chiiirp. Something that you don’t necessarily hear when listening to audio. Of the few times I’ve run across the young artist I always felt like she transformed on stage. Once off stage she turn back into “human” Chiiirp. Sometimes listening to audio you don’t get to see the human Chiiirp only “beast” Chiiirp, if that makes since. So I like the idea of her speaking first before the actual “The Dope” audio begins to play. If you dig the visual go check her out in person. It’s always a good time. Dope shit young one. But you already said that… @SmokingVapors

ETHEREAL – E

ETHEREAL - E Okay so I been getting hit by fans of this guy from left and right so I finally decided to give it a listen and I have to say that the peoples avidness is for good reason. This shit has gems within gems. What I mean by that is even though a track is dope you miss it’s real quality if your not paying attention. I think that this kind of stuff is what happens when you have someone this talented at production and writing. I will also say that just as I say much of artist with this quality. I would like to see more indulgence. Some of this production is so smooth, such as Slidin’, I just wish he would have let the beat play for a minute, like he does on Bleach which is awesome, after the vocals died. Don’t get me wrong he does this every once in a while and I think that sometimes artist like this want to avoid doing that because some people don’t necessarily enjoy it but just like Kanye West if you’re that good you should show it off. @ObieTheReal

Alexis Glenn – Irrational Illustrations At Heart

Two months late but you know we like to sit on things here at raW before we speak on them sometimes. Especially something as smooth as this. Newcomer (or at least new to me) Alexis Glenn gives us Irrational Illustrations At Heart. I had heard here before but only as a featured artist never her own stuff. I always wondered what something from her would sound like. Not sure where to begin with this one so I’m just jumping in. I feel like she has one of the most unique voices in this scene right now. The only other artist I can think of with a voice as unique would be Amadi Jae. Side Note: With that being said I’m not really sure if they are apart of the same “scene” Alexis Glenn falls a little more into the category of the few soul sirens that surround themselves with Atlanta’s hip hop scene (think Marian Mereba) where as Amadi Jae is nestled deeply within Atlanta’s Neo Soul counterparts. Back to what I was saying. This shit is smooth and passionate. Definitely baby making music. The way the use to do. Even on a smooth track with the things she can do with her unique voice she can almost make it aggressive which is probably my favorite thing about the project. Even when she preforms (or at least the few times I have seen it) she hit this little gyration that makes you just feel it. It’s old school in a way. I would love to hear a live instrument behind her. And for her to indulge more. Sometimes when artist do it’s to much do I could listen to her repeat the ending of As It Is for an hour. Lol. Dope stuff and shout out to Alkebulan who who seems to have produced most of the project. (And possibly engineered knowing his talents when it comes to controlling the boards for much of Two 9’s work.) Nice one guys. And can we get some visuals! @Lexin8or

Far Out Family – #NEWATLISH (dir. Drew & Co.)

FartherOut.com brings us the visual for the grooving NEWATLISH. I really dig this day in the life of style. It really feels like an introduction to these guys and it seems like they called the whole family out for this one. Love how the chill nature of this goes perfect with the audio. I’ve seen them on stage and I love the chemistry of these guys. I hope in the the next visual we get to see some of that. I also like how we get to see the respective crews. Glenn Saddler with his boy behind him & Bias the Black being backed by the Raven Corps (murder! lol!) Dopeness guys really fucking with this one. S/O to the Far Out Family (fartherout.com) and the Raven Corps. Also to Drew & Co. who has directed a couple of Wara from the NBHD’s videos you may be familiar with. @FarOutFamily / @glennsaddler / @BiastheBlack / @_theLiving_

Quentin Miller – Hey… Thanks A Lot

tumblr_mwzpwihC5L1qi98uto1_500 And in such session just because they go so good together We got a Quentin Miller project right on the heels of our TheCoolisMac project. This ones a little different though. Miller hits us with a quick Thanksgiving EP which comes and goes to soon. In a good way. He starts it off by letting us know that this is a project that he decided to put out and dropped within a matter of days and what this really shows is his capability. Amongst the dopiness that accompanies this project to me it’s biggest asset is the potential it shows in the boy Miller. It’s early Kanye-esk if I could make such a bold statement. I really sounds like he may have the ability to do many sounds. And do them well! If this is what we get when he decides to drop a project a week out I can’t wait to see what he does on a full effort. You’re welcome Mr. Miller. Maybe next time we can thank you. @Quenten__Miller

TheCoolisMac – Underground Grammy (DJ Burn One)

TheCoolisMac Face Card is definitely straight. He is know in every Atlanta circle. Respected in every Atlanta circle. Everybody love Mac! And know we got Underground Grammy! Mac been making his rounds lately with homies Scotty (I don’t add the ATL because I’m from the A and if you say Scotty round here they should already know who you talking about.) and rocking crowds with some of the new material which got people really buzzing about the project. As for this project it really kind of embodies why everybody likes Mac. It’s fun. It’s Hard. It’s pimp. It’s smooth… It’s kind of Snoop. It think that’s a good reference. Everybody loves Snoop. And just as a young Snoop you kind of feel like Mac can do many things. He gives you some gritty but he also gives you a lot of smooth. He gives you some stuff for the ladies while at the same time never making you feel like he’s gone soft. You know, pimp shit. Of course many people have been hailing the Scotty feature on Nominations (which is really dope) my favorite is still the Quentin Miller feature on UpThruDere2013. You just don’t really get any smoother than a Mac and Miller collab in the A. I’m really hoping this propels the boy Mac to his next stage. I’m ready to see this guy. Headlining some of these shows. Straight dopeness. S/O to BornRICH and the Cool Club establishments @thecoolismac / @djburnone
