One of my favorite cuts from the 808 Keys EP. Also I was at this little secret Key! pop up show shot during A3C between his other shows. I remember being drunk and really wanting one of those Key! “HELLO!?” shirts but they were $50! (I almost bought one any way. lol) I want to also use this moment to point out what I been telling people for a while now. If you have been paying attention to the goings on of the scene Key!’s notoriety has sky rocketed! From the Fader interviews to the controversial Complex interview. Key! may have made the correct choice when it came to going the solo route. He definitely has the ability and acclaim. Every time Rome Releases it’s thorough. Like extremely. Like his team is beast. Like shout out to Mike Boyd. I just don’t see how you don’t look at this video and then want to know more about this guy. Like if you haven’t heard of him before this and you see this video you’re definitely going to click on the next one. Shout out to Maco on this one as well. He always make you pay attention. At this point Rome just has to sitting at a table with a bunch a record contract in front of him basically just weighing his options. What more could they want? @romefortune

This time with some really dope edits for good measure this one seemed to be a favorite for many people of the EP with it’s chill flow from Glenn Saddler and the spooky background rifts from Bias the Black. So I’ve been singing this song since I heard it in the club a while back. I had no idea who was on it cause I would always come in near the end. I got home & did a quick search and saw Key! was one of the artist and realized this was probably why I like the song so much. If you’re on this site enough then you probably already know that Key! can basically do no wrong when it comes to us sut this song is actually credited to the Ohio based rapper LAMB$. All the artist jump on and swag it out. That sliding door scene from Key! though is one for the books as another blog wrote. EarthGang is going to keep it interesting. They are riding this album pretty well. This is what you call working the project. They’re making sure they can get everything they can from this thing before moving on to the next phase and if you have given Shallow Graves For Toys a listen then you know that it has a whole hell of a lot to offer. This video is super psychedelic. I mean what the hell does he put in his mouth when he jumps into the car. Love the chorus and they got bars for days as usual. Can’t wait to see what’s up next for these guys. Keep it weird Spillage Village. @EarthGang

So I been seeing a lot of mixed reviews about this track but hey I like it and I post what I like! You guys can’t tell me this this chorus isn’t catchy. It’s like the definition of catchy. One thing that this track also does for me is prove that Reese still has the juice. I mean to put OG Maco and Casey Veggies together over a DJ Mustard beat takes some pull. The kind of pull I wasn’t sure Reese still had. But he does. And I’m impressed. Oh and I a sucker for dope artwork. @iAM_REESE / @OGMaco / @CaseyVeggies

For no other reason than that I have never posted about my now favorite Atlanta based apparel brand. If you haven’t been living under a rock in the up and coming Atlanta scene then you have seen some of these pieces around. Possibly on the Give ‘Em Hell duo of Key! & OG Maco in which they worked closely with. You can see much of what I can only assume to be manga inspired style in many of the pieces. This line is really a quality over quantity thing and is definitely not your homeboys “prints on a shirt” line. If you frequent this site then you probably feel just as I do about this stuff. Far Out Family – What The / $

The resident greasers Bias the Black & Glenn Saddler seem to be sliding out of this hiatus pretty nicely with a praise from the acclaimed Pigeons & Planes for this double video. This visual from their Declaration of Independence project follows the Bank robbery of the duo and the after math. Shot by Mario Christian with the edit by a reallyaWOLF favorite Artemus Jenkins. This really does capture the angst of the audio perfectly while at the same time the second half of the visual does a great job getting a hold of the somberness that is $. J.I.D x 6LACK – “W4R” Ft. OG Maco & Alkebulan

And here we have the second release from J.I.D and 6LACK’s upcoming International Sad Boyz project and it’s just what you thought it was. Heat. With the accompaniment of OG Maco and Alkebulan (which is what I assume is the reason for the stylish 4 in W4R is for) it makes this a 4 man assault over the Deko production. They all kill it in there own way which is really impressive to see how the production sent them all in different directions. Usually when you get this many artist on one track you get a bit of some overlapping flows and styles but not here. As I’ve stated before I can’t wait to hear the rest of this project should be a really smooth listen. @SlickSixJID / @6LACK / @OGMaco / @Alkbln

The ILL Table: Season 2 Premiere

The ILL Table is back with Season 2 and for the first episode we have the super dope Marian Mereba. One thing that I can see from the start is that there is more variation in the episode in comparison to previous episodes. I can really dig it. I does a good job of breaking up some of the monotony and makes you feel like you’re getting a lot more out of the experience. Also I can tell that the beautiful Shelanese is really coming into her own. She has developed those interview skills and it keeps you a bit more engaged in what her and Mereba have to say. She is definitely asking the right questions. Side Note: That little ending dialogue between her and Mereba at the end is super cute. Now I really want to her sing the ILL Table! @ShellyNicole
